On some of their more lighthearted engagements, the royals certainly know how to have a good time, and we’ve seen some fantastic moments, particularly from the younger generation.

3.At the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto, Prince Harry pretended to be surprised when two-year-old Emily Henson made a bold grab for the royal’s bucket of popcorn. The Prince’s hilarious reactions to the cheeky toddler resulted in a series of incredible photos.
4.During the G7 Summit in June 2021, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge couldn’t stop laughing as the Queen cut a cake with a ceremonial sword as the royal ladies attended the Big Lunch at the Eden Project. When told that a standard knife was available, the monarch replied, “I know there is, but this is more unusual.”
5.Meghan went on a mini tour of the United Kingdom with her soon-to-be husband, Harry, before becoming the Duchess of Sussex. The former actress took part in a children’s workshop and couldn’t stop laughing as the kids rushed over to give her a group hug.
6.In 2013, Harry, Kate, and William spent a magical day touring the Harry Potter set at the Warner Bros Studio. During their visit, the royal trio were given their own wands to play with, and they appeared to be completely enchanted.
7.After her parents competed in the King’s Cup sailing regatta off the Isle of Wight, Princess Charlotte was photographed poking her tongue out at her grandfather Michael Middleton in the crowd, and we can only assume that the Duchess encouraged it by making her own funny faces at her father.
8.A famous photo of Princess Diana and Sarah, Duchess of York poking one of their friends with their umbrellas at Royal Ascot in 1987 is one of their many mischievous moments together.
9.In 2019, the Earl and Countess of Wessex took their children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn to Bristol Zoo for a family day out. The young royal was photographed making his mother Sophie laugh by imitating a giraffe and sticking his tongue out.
10.During a meeting of the Charities Forum at BAFTA in 2015, William, Harry, and Kate were all hysterical with laughter as they tried ‘welly wanging’ with children and representatives from charities and Aardman Animations.
11.During the 2014 Invictus Games in London, Prince Harry and Mike Tindall competed in a Wheelchair Rugby exhibition match and displayed some friendly competition towards one another.
12.In 2017, when Paddington Bear requested a dance on the Paddington rail station platform, Kate was more than happy to oblige and giggled as she was twirled around.
13.During Trooping the Colour 2018, the younger royals stole the show on the Buckingham Palace balcony. Savannah Phillips pretended to conduct the orchestra and tried to stop her cousin Prince George from singing.
14.During a family skiing vacation in the French Alps in 2016, William and Kate were photographed throwing snow at each other.
