When the Prince and Princess of Wales arrived at the 2023 BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday night, they were welcomed with open arms. The royal couple shared a playful moment while making their red carpet entrance, surprising royal observers!
When they arrived quickly, Princess Catherine appeared to tap Prince William on the bum. After being captured by a bystander near the red carpet, the incident quickly went viral on Twitter.

For the first time in three years, the royals walked the Bafta red carpet. The Princess re-wore a dress to demonstrate her dedication to eco-friendly fashion. She wore an Alexander McQueen Grecian-inspired gown, which she had previously worn to the 2019 Bafta Awards.
William’s attire was traditional and understated, consisting of a double-breasted black velvet tuxedo jacket.
Catherine and her husband first attended the ceremony in 2017; William has served as the Bafta president since 2010. By selecting a black McQueen gown for the Bafta red carpet, she established a custom of wearing British designers.

The couple had meetings with Krishnendu Majumdar, the CEO of the Bafta, Jane Millichip, and Anna Higgs, the chairwoman of the Bafta film committee, prior to the ceremony.
A feature praising the late monarch’s patronage of the industry was shown to guests during the show, and they were informed how the Queen had been a “supporter” of the arts.
Prince William complimented the decision-makers on their “great job” and nodded as Ms. Higgs discussed the significance of pursuing “diversity” in the sector.
The late monarch was seen supporting the academy in a video that was presented by Dame Helen Mirren, who played the Queen in the 2006 biopic.

Sir Helen stated: “The best films bring us together and bind us together through a narrative, just as Her Majesty did so effortlessly. Your Majesty, you were the brightest star in our country.”
When Prince William saw the touching tribute, he appeared to be in tears.
