Delfina Blaquier, a close friend of the Duchess of Sussex, praised the working mother for being “so wonderful” and acknowledged that Meghan is “stronger than she knows.”
Harry has known Delfina for the duration of their friendship, which has lasted over 15 years, with Nacho Figueras, an Argentinean polo player. Delfina revealed earlier in 2022 that Meghan refers to Nacho and Delfina as the “p-wives,” or polo wives, after the couple from Argentina became even closer after the Duke and Duchess moved to the US.
On Thursday, August 25, Delfina was present at the Aspen Valley Polo Club to cheer on her husband and Harry as they competed in the annual Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup, a significant fund-raiser for the 2006-founded charity.
After the couple’s triumphant victory at the conclusion of the exciting tournament, she spoke with HELLO!, saying that “it is always important to support Sentebale, and to show my husband support.”
Delfina continued, referring to her growing friendship with Meghan, “She is such a wonderful and strong woman. more durable than she realizes. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, and I will always be there for her.
Nacho praised Meghan and Harry’s relationship as well, saying, “I have known him for so long and he has always wanted someone to love, marry, and have a family with, so it makes me so happy to see them happy and with two beautiful children.”
Harry joined Nacho’s Californian polo team Los Padres in May. In June, Delfina shared a photo of herself and Meghan watching their husbands play polo on social media. She captioned the post with her nicknames for the former actress and Harry, revealing that she calls them “M” and “H.”
Delfina wrote: “Getting to spend time together over these 2 months was so special. Looking forward to many more of these times with you and H. I wish everyone was familiar with who you are.
Delfina’s remarks were made the same week that Meghan debuted Archetypes, her debut podcast with Spotify.

Meghan will be followed as she “investigates the labels that try to hold women back” in the podcast, which has been well received throughout the world.
Serena Williams was interviewed in the first episode, and the two women talked about their pregnancies, motherhood, and the stereotypes that women encounter.
They also discussed how it has affected their own lives and the unfair judgments women face when they are called “ambitious.”
