Jennifer Connelly talked about meeting Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, at the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick earlier this month.
The actress stated that her meeting with the Duke was particularly memorable because it was linked to her meeting with his mother, Princess Diana.
She revealed that this was her second royal premiere, after one in 1986 for the film Labyrinth, at which she met the late Princess of Wales.

Jennifer explained the full circle moment to Entertainment Tonight: “[In] 1986, yes, for the premiere of Labyrinth, which was a movie I did when I was a teenager…
I met [Princess] Diana, William’s mother.”
She described the premiere and meeting the royal as a “very special experience,” adding that as she spoke to him, she remembered meeting his mother all those years ago.
The actress did admit, however, that she was overwhelmed by the experience and had “no recollection” of what they discussed.

“You think about the protocols that they ask you to follow when meeting them, and of course, Kate and William were both so gracious and reached out and shook our hands, and they are just impeccable,” Jennifer continued.
The actress, who is set to star alongside Tom Cruise in the highly anticipated Top Gun sequel, recently discussed what it was like to fly with him – for real!

She told Den of Geek about the surreal moment they took off, “He did pilot the plane.” “Because it’s such a small plane, it’s just the two of us in there, and it’s an incredible experience.”
“He’s so good at so many things, and of course he’s an excellent pilot, so I was able to just chill out and enjoy that incredible experience while he was flying.”
