A spokesperson has confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will “visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September” when they return to the UK.
Following the announcement of their public appearances, royal fans are wondering if the couple’s schedule will allow them to meet up with other members of the royal family, particularly the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
And it appears that there is a good chance that their paths will cross while Harry and Meghan are visiting.
The Sussexes will probably spend September at their home base in the UK, Frogmore Cottage, which is situated on the Queen’s Windsor estate.
They will arrive soon after William and Kate, along with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and little Prince Louis, are anticipated to move into their new house, Adelaide Cottage.
Less than a mile separates their new family home from Frogmore.
The Queen’s return to England will also take place during Harry and Meghan’s visit. When Boris Johnson leaves his position as prime minister on September 6th, the monarch will interrupt her vacation at Balmoral to welcome a new leader.
The Sussexes will attend the One Young World Summit in Manchester on September 5 before traveling to Germany for the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event.
In the event that the monarch’s schedule permits it, they could spend some time alone with her before returning to the UK for the WellChild Awards on September 8.
Harry’s primary concern while traveling from his California home to the high-profile appearances will be security.
The Duke, who retired from senior working royal duties in 2020, has filed a lawsuit because it was decided not to let him pay for police protection for himself and his family while they were in the UK. He successfully filed a High Court lawsuit against the Home Office last month.
He is challenging the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures’ decision made in February 2020 regarding his security after learning he would no longer receive the “same degree” of personal protective security when visiting.
