The Duchess of Sussex has had a busy weekend!

Meghan Markle is all smiles as she showcases her storytelling skills during special outing

Over the weekend, the Duchess of Sussex spent a memorable evening out with a few very special people.

The Southern California Welcome Project hosted an evening of storytelling and cooking on Saturday, and Meghan Markle attended.

This was made possible by The Archewell Foundation’s Welcome Project, which was introduced last year and aids in establishing a welcoming and secure atmosphere for Afghani women who have recently resettled in the US.

Images that were posted on Archewell’s website showed the Duchess grinning while assisting in the preparation of some traditional Afghan dishes. She was dressed in a black vest top and an apron from the Archewell Foundation.

Fifteen women joined Meghan at the motivational gathering, preparing dishes like mantuu and ashak.

After the food was prepared, the mother-of-two and the other women sat down to share their personal narratives. Meghan listened as the group discussed how it helps the women on an individual basis.

The 42-year-old is preparing for a unique three-day trip this week, as she and Prince Harry are heading to Canada for the One Year to Go celebrations of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.

In order to participate in the Participating Nations Winter Training Camp, which offers members of the International Invictus Community, such as team managers, coaches, and competitors, the chance to experience winter adaptive sports prior to the Games next year, Harry and Meghan will travel to both Vancouver and Whistler.

Following the public announcement at the beginning of February of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, Harry and Meghan, as well as the rest of the royal family, have had an eventful time.

After the announcement on Monday, February 5, Harry traveled to the UK to see his father.

Meghan stayed at home in Montecito, most likely so she could spend more time with their kids, Archie and Lilibet, before they leave for Canada this week.

Harry left Los Angeles on Monday night and arrived in the UK on Tuesday morning. He headed straight to Clarence House, where he and his father had a quick meeting.

On Sunday, Charles was captured on camera for the first time as he left the house to visit St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham. Charles thanked the public for their well wishes after learning about his health over the weekend.

According to his statement, “I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days.”Kind thoughts are the greatest consolation and encouragement, as anyone affected by cancer knows.

It is equally encouraging to learn how disclosing my personal diagnosis has aided in raising awareness of the work of all the organisations that support cancer patients and their families in the UK and around the world, as well as in fostering public understanding. Because of my own experience, I will always be more in awe of their unwavering concern and commitment.”
