Ahead of Christmas, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took a low-key trip to Costa Rica, where their two young children, Princess Lilibet, 2, and Prince Archie, 4, joined them.
Photos that were obtained by the Central American news outlet CRHoy showed the Duchess of Sussex holding her young daughter, whose face was obscured but her blonde hair was clearly visible. Lilibet wore a white dress and her blonde hair up in a ponytail, while Meghan looked elegant in a sleek black dress and sunhat.
A third image from the trip showed Harry wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, and sunglasses. Other pictures that were released showed Harry, Meghan, and Archie sitting together in a golf cart with the young Prince sitting on his father’s lap.
The General Directorate of Migration and Immigration confirmed to CRHoy that the couple arrived in the nation on December 14 and left on December 20, despite reports that they stayed in a private residence rather than a hotel.
The Duke of Sussex stated in his memoir Spare, which was released earlier this year, that his family still observes a “Windsor family tradition” during the holiday season. Harry and Meghan will soon be spending Christmas with their two children.
The Prince acknowledged that on Christmas Eve, he and his family would frequently open a few gifts. Because of the royal family’s German heritage, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert are credited with popularizing the custom of the royals exchanging gifts on Christmas Eve. Heiligabend Bescherung, or Christmas Eve gift-giving, is the name given to it.
Harry wrote about his 2020 Christmas, saying, “We went tree shopping with Archie. A Santa Barbara pop-up lot. One of their largest spruces was the one we purchased. We moved it into the living room after we got home. Wonderful. Taking a step back, we observed and tallied our blessings. new residence. boy in good health.”
“It was Christmas Eve,” he continued. We spoke on FaceTime with a number of friends, some of whom were in Britain. Archie was seen circling the tree by us. We also opened our presents. Respecting the customs of the Windsor family.”
The former Suits star stated to E! News that while Harry and Meghan still observe some family customs, they also prioritize creating “special memories” for their young family.
“Now that our little ones are getting older, we’re making new ones,” she stated to the newspaper. “And we’re enjoying every moment of it.”
