Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Meghan Markle. She and her parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, along with half-siblings Thomas Jr. and Samantha, lived in a two-bedroom house on Providencia Street in Woodland Hills until she was two.

 

Meghan Markle’s second childhood home

Meghan and her mother Doria moved into an apartment in Mild-Wilshire, Los Angeles, following their parents’ divorce in 1983. As it was closer to her high school, the Duchess of Sussex spent the weekdays at her father’s apartment behind the Hollywood Strip until she graduated and left for college in 1999.

In addition to studying theatre and international studies at Northwestern University in Illinois, close to Chicago, Meghan Markle was also a part of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. The sorority house in Evanston, Illinois was situated in the center of the university’s campus.

Meghan Markle and her two dogs Guy and Bogart resided in Toronto while the Netflix series Suits was being filmed.

Before getting divorced in 2013, Meghan and her ex-husband Trevor Engelson owned a mansion in Los Angeles. The former marital residence is currently on the market for about £1.5 million.

The house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sizable garden, and a place to dine outside, according to the listing. Following their divorce in 2013, Meghan moved back into her Toronto home before moving to London to be with Prince Harry.

Just after their engagement was made public in November 2017, Meghan moved in with Prince Harry to live in the two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace. Harry had lived in the cottage since 2013.
