Two-year-old Princess Lilibet and four-year-old Prince Archie are the proud children of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Although it was unclear which of their children was ill, it was anticipated that Meghan and her husband would make an appearance that evening.

The Prince received a Living Legends of Aviation medal for his services as a pilot and veteran of the British Army at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills during his debut appearance in 2024.

Harry flew numerous training missions in the US, UK, and Australia before completing two tours of duty as an Apache helicopter pilot and forward air controller in Afghanistan.

In addition, he spent ten years in the military, rising to the rank of Captain. He then started the Invictus Games, a competition for injured veterans and service members.

When presenting the 39-year-old Duke with his medal, John Travolta spoke of the memorable dance he had with Princess Diana, the Duke’s late mother, at the White House in 1985.

Harry has joined the A-List roster of celebrities that have been dubbed “legends” in the fields of aviation and aerospace, including Elon Musk, Buzz Aldrin, Jeff Bezos, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Morgan Freeman, and Queen Salman Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.

Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe opened up to HELLO! about the interaction and shared a photo with the Prince taken inside the ballroom.

He said, “It is a very personal moment of joy for him and I am very happy that he is the focus of the night. He deserves it.” He had been through a lot being so public. In my opinion, we should all congratulate him on receiving this prestigious award since we have all experienced many significant life events. There aren’t many, and this is a huge occasion.

He made the most beautiful speech, expressing gratitude to everyone who had helped make things happen, including the aviation industry and engineers in particular. I’m overjoyed for him. He is wonderful, sweet, and incredibly modest.”
