The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly left Frogmore Cottage on King Charles’ Windsor estate, according to Buckingham Palace.

After Harry’s memoir, Spare, was published, King Charles reportedly served them with an eviction notice, forcing Prince Harry and Meghan to leave their possessions behind.

In order to move to their £11 million home in Santa Barbara, Prince Harry and Meghan will have removed all of their personal belongings from the five-bedroom, four-bathroom Grade II listed home. However, there is one item the couple was compelled to leave behind.

Before announcing their decision to leave the royal family, the royals had only lived on the estate for six months. In preparation for the arrival of their son, Archie Harrison, the Sussexes spent £2.4 million renovating Frogmore Cottage into a four-bedroom and nursery property before leaving.

The installation of a “eco-boiler,” which provides limitless hot water and low-carbon heat, was one of Harry and Meghan’s extensive renovations, according to The Sun. The advanced, eco-friendly equipment, which is thought to have cost up to £50,000, would have had to be given up by the royals.

With Meghan seen painting her nails in the kitchen and the couple seen kissing while she’s perched on a kitchen worktop, Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary gave royal fans their first look inside Frogmore Cottage.
