Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah has been nominated for an Emmy

The explosive interview between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with Oprah Winfrey has been nominated for an Emmy Award.

The Television Academy announced the nominees for the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards on Tuesday. The CBS Primetime Special “Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special,” which aired on March 7, was nominated in the category of outstanding hosted nonfiction series or special.

Despite the fact that the royal couple took part in the interview, which drew over 17 million viewers, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not nominated for the special.

Winfrey and five producers who worked on the special were among those nominated. “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy” and “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman” were among the specials nominated.

During the TV special, in which Winfrey’s interviewing skills were highlighted, Harry and Markle were candid about their experiences living with the British royal family.

Markle told Oprah Winfrey that Kate Middleton made her cry the week before her wedding, despite multiple publications reporting that Markle was the one who made Middleton cry.
