It’s likely that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be getting ready to celebrate Halloween this October with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, Prince Harry and Meghan used to date, and during one of their fun nights out in Toronto, they “wanted to pull the pin on the fun grenade”.
The Duchess previously disclosed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2021 how she had secretly attended a post-apocalyptic Halloween party with Princess Eugenie, Harry’s cousin, and Jack Brooksbank, Eugenie’s future husband.
“The four of us just snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night out on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple,” Meghan explained.
In their Netflix documentary, which was made available to streamers in December of last year, the couple later shared candid party photos.
Harry’s memoir, Spare, which was published in January, includes some details about his night out in Toronto.
“We invited Jack and Euge to join us for Halloween,” he wrote. Markus, Meg’s closest friend. Apocalypse was the theme of a large party being held at Toronto’s Soho House. Adequately attired. Though I hadn’t had much success with themed fancy-dress parties, I promised Meg that I would give it another shot.
“I’d turned to a friend, the actor Tom Hardy, for help with my costume before I left home,” he continued. I had called him to see if I could borrow his Mad Max costume.
“The entirety of it? Sure, please, dear!
“The entire set. Before leaving Britain, he had given me everything, and now, in Meg’s tiny bathroom, I tried it on. She let out a roar of laughter when I emerged.”
News of Harry and Meghan’s romance surfaced the day after the Halloween party, and they carried on their long-distance relationship.
Their engagement was revealed in November 2017 after the Prince proposed in the garden of Nottingham Cottage, which was then part of Kensington Palace.
In May 2018, Harry and Meghan exchanged vows in Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel. When Archie arrived a year later, they became parents.
Following the announcement in January 2020 of their intention to resign as senior royals, the Sussexes relocated to the United States and purchased their first family home in Montecito, California. Lilibet, the couple’s daughter, was born in June 2021.
