The peculiar Valentine’s Day plans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been made public.
As they prepare for the opening of the One Year To Go event for the 2025 Invictus Games, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be celebrating in Vancouver, Canada. Along with Harry and Meghan, participating nations from all over the world will be meeting on Wednesday at the Winter Training Camp in Whistler, British Columbia.
Since the 2025 Invictus Games will include winter sports events when they take place in Canada from February 8 to 16, next year, the One Year To Go event was started this year to encourage military veterans to give it a try. In order to raise excitement for the games, Meghan and Harry will meet and greet participants in a series of public appearances on Valentine’s Day, where they will be surrounded by charming winter scenes.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, at home in Montecito, California, while the 2023 Invictus Games were being held in Germany. Nonetheless, Meghan made a suggestion last year that they would be taking their children to the Canadian games the following year since they will be old enough to enjoy the major athletic event.
The Invictus Games have previously taken place in Canada; in 2017, Harry’s athletic extravaganza for veterans was held in Toronto. It was during these games that Prince Harry and Meghan made their public debut as a couple, capping a covert romance that had started in 2016. Harry declared that the Invictus Games, which will be jointly held in Whistler and Vancouver next year, will be a gathering place for locals.
The Vancouver-Whistler 2025 Invictus Games will provide a worldwide stage for raising awareness of and participation in winter adaptive sports. In the spirit of truth and reconciliation with indigenous communities, I’m also happy to announce that the Games in Canada will be held in collaboration with the First Nations, with the utmost respect,” he said in a statement.
It’s unclear what Harry and Meghan will be doing on Valentine’s Day because of their busy schedules, but the former Suits star previously shared details of her ideal day on her now-defunct blog, The Tig. A year before Meghan began dating Prince Harry, in 2015, she disclosed that her ideal romantic day would take place in Paris.
She told Hello! magazine, “Every February 14th, without fail, I wake up feeling like I’m immersed in a Robert Doisneau photo, waiting with bated breath to be dipped into a kiss.” “Obviously, everything is taking place in black and white. And if I got my wish, in Paris. Whether it’s a romantic note, breakfast in bed, or a single flower, when it comes to gifts, it’s the thought that matters most.”
