There is no doubt that the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex’s relationship has suffered in recent years, but they will share a rare celebration next weekend as both the UK and the US will observe Father’s Day on June 18.
On the third Sunday in June, which is Father’s Day in both nations, the two will undoubtedly spend the day with their families: Harry with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, and William with his wife Princess Kate and their three children.

Prince Harry was in the UK this week and appeared in court to testify in the Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) v. High Court phone hacking case.
Currently, Prince Harry is back in the US with his family. As she did when the Duke visited for the coronation of his father King Charles in May, his wife Meghan stayed at home with their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The Duke, who did not join other members of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the flypast, was seen getting into a car after the coronation and then made an appearance at London’s Heathrow so he could fly back in time for Prince Archie’s fourth birthday.
Harry’s attendance at the coronation marked their first meeting since the Queen’s funeral in September, along with the Prince and Princess of Wales and King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla. Additionally, it marked Harry’s first public appearance with his family since the release of his new book and the Netflix documentary series Harry & Meghan.
Prince Harry and Meghan’s interactions with the royal family have come under close scrutiny in recent years. The world was shocked by their decision to resign from their positions as senior members of the royal family in early 2020.
Since then, the couple has moved to California, where they have continued to work on their charitable endeavors, including the establishment of their Archewell Foundation, and they have spoken out on issues like racial justice and mental health.
Reports of tension between Prince Harry and Prince William surfaced after their move to the United States; Harry later addressed this in his book Spare, which was published in January after their open Netflix docuseries.
