During the Platinum Jubilee Pageant on Sunday, Prince Louis was photographed sharing a tender moment with his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.
While sitting on Kate’s lap to watch the epic carnival procession, the young royal was photographed showering her with kisses and cuddles.
Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte, as well as Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall and other senior royals, joined Louis, four, and Kate for the spectacular event.
The parade brought the four-day celebration honoring the Queen’s remarkable 70 years on the throne to a close.
The event, which featured giant puppets, the Gold State Coach, and a slew of celebrities, brought together the best of music, theatre, street arts, carnival, and costume to honor the monarch.
The Queen was absent for the majority of the Pageant, but she surprised spectators with a brief appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony at the conclusion. Her arrival followed an emotional performance by pop star Ed Sheeran, who sang his number-one ballad Perfect while a video montage of Queen footage from the past played.
After experiencing “some discomfort” during Thursday’s celebrations, the monarch was unable to attend Friday and Saturday’s events, which meant she missed the Party at the Palace concert at Buckingham Palace as well as the Epsom Derby, which took place on Saturday.
Prince Louis’ sweet moment with his mother comes just days after he was photographed pulling faces on the balcony during Trooping the Colour’s military flypast on Thursday.
The young prince was seen happily waving to the sky before later holding his hands over his ears as an aircraft flew overhead, prompting Kate to bend down and speak with him.
