On the final night of their hectic Caribbean royal tour, Prince William and Kate dazzled at a reception held in their honor. At the Baha Mar Hotel in Nassau, William and Kate were VIP guests at an event hosted by the Bahamas’ Governor General.
Kate has been flaunting her style throughout the eight-day tour, and she didn’t disappoint on Friday night when she wore a Phillipa Lepley Vienna Crossover satin dress with tie-detailing on the shoulders.
In a royal blue velvet blazer, William, who gave a speech on the night to toast his grandmother the Queen and her Platinum Jubilee, looked dapper.
Kate’s gown is described as a “clean, gorgeous duchess satin dress” with a “timeless, feminine design” from the 2020 bridal collection.
“One piece of heavenly turquoise bias satin has been moulded over the bodice in a cross-over design, flowing into Phillipa’s signature shoulder bows, creating a bodice and skirt with side seams only and an effortless look,” according to the designer.
As they arrived at the luxury hotel, William and Kate made a grand entrance, wowing onlookers and fellow guests.
She wore her hair straight with an on-trend middle parting and kept her accessories simple with a matching clutch bag and Van Cleef drop necklace and earrings.
Before they walked into the reception, William fiddled with his bowtie as fanfares sounded and the Bahamas’ national anthem played.
Before proceeding to the main event, William and Kate made a brief stop in the hotel’s lobby for the presentation of Platinum Jubilee medals.
Paul Rolle, Commissioner of the Royal Bahamas Police Force; Commodore Raymond King, Royal Bahamas Defence Force; and Captain Stephen Russell, National Emergency Management Agency are among the recipients of the Jubilee medals.
The Governor General, Cornelius Alvin Smith, and Prime Minister, Philip Davis, greeted the royals upon their arrival, and they had the opportunity to mingle with community leaders and other notable people from across the Bahamas’ many islands once inside.
The Bahamas Youth Choir also gave a performance on the main stage for the royals.
Under the guidance of Ambassador Leslia Miller-Brice and Permanent Secretary to the Governor General, Jack Thompson, William and Kate met small groups of guests.
