The Queen, who appears to have recovered after contracting COVID a fortnight ago, celebrated her Platinum Jubilee – her 70th year on the throne – last month.
“In this very special #PlatinumJubilee year, we celebrate Her Majesty The Queen and her historic 70 years of service on #IWD2022,” the royal couple said in a statement alongside the photos.

The Queen made her first in-person public appearance since recuperating from COVID-19 on Monday

“The Queen’s extraordinary reign has been longer than any other monarch in British history, inspiring a nation and dedicating her life to the service of the Commonwealth and its people.” One portrait depicts Prince William and Kate with the Queen at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show, while another depicts Her Majesty on a 1977 Silver Jubilee walkabout. At a polo match in 1988, Prince Charles kissed the Queen’s hand in a third photograph.
