Along with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are taking summer vacations.
George turned nine during their absence, and the Cambridges shared a cute new photo of the young royal. The family was taking a summer staycation in the UK at the time of the beachside picture, so it was obvious where they were going on vacation. The young child is seen posing in a blue shirt in the adorable new photo, which was taken by mom Kate earlier this month.
His casual attire was a far cry from some of his earlier appearances, when he was photographed wearing a suit and tie while accompanying his parents on an official visit to Cardiff for the Platinum Jubilee.
The royals were spotted boarding their private jet earlier this month and walking toward a helicopter that was waiting in the Kensington Palace grounds. Orla, their pet dog, joined them and was seen bounding toward the plane.
Kate, 40, appeared to be sporting the same straw hat and white summer dress she wore to watch the Ladies’ Singles Final at Wimbledon.
Although their kids had been out of school for a few days before they left, it’s likely that William and Kate’s appearance at Wimbledon was the cause of the delay.
It’s likely that the Cambridges will visit Her Majesty later this summer since they typically pay a visit to Balmoral, Scotland, in August. The family has traveled to Aberdeenshire before on commercial flights.
For William, Kate, and their young children, it’s a busy time. In order to be nearer to the Queen and Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton, who reside in Berkshire, the family is reportedly moving to Windsor this summer.
In September, George, Charlotte, and Louis are anticipated to begin a new school year. William and Kate will continue to use Kensington Palace as their base in London while the family resides in Windsor.
