When Prince William and his only child, Princess Charlotte, wished the England women’s soccer team luck in the Euros final before their impressive 2-1 victory on Sunday, they posted the cutest video to social media.
Royal fans adored the young princess’s rare address and the rare look at her loving relationship with her adoring father.
The brief clip, though, also sparked discussion as social media users argued over who the Princess most resembled!
One person remarked about the Queen, Charlotte’s great-grandmother, saying, “Aww, she looks just like her granny Liz!” Her grandmother’s name is Diana, another person said, to which a third person responded, “Oh come on, you know what they meant!”
Another fan added a red heart emoji and said, “Charlotte is starting to look just like Princess Diana.”
Another person remarked, “Charlotte is so beautiful,” and another concurred, “She is so beautiful it’s unbelievable. What a wonderful family!
The Lionesses sweetly replied, “Thank you so much,” while their official social media account posted a blushing emoji. William and Charlotte addressed the camera in the moving tribute that was shared on Twitter and Instagram.
“We both want to wish the Lionesses the best of luck for tonight,” the Duke said.
We are supporting you all the way because of the amazing job you did in the competition.
“Good luck, I hope you win,” the young Princess, who was huddled close to her father, continued. Bye.”
The touching video captured viewers’ hearts, and they left messages for the father-daughter team in the comments. “Aww what a beautiful, super cute video,” one fan commented. I adore it, and I wish the Lionesses luck.
“Charlotte is the cutest,” said the second. You can do it, Lionesses, so hurry up!
Another added: “How cute! She obviously has her father tethered to her little finger! “Aww darling #PrincessCharlotte thank you and lovely to hear from you,” a fourth retort said.
