Following Kate’s cancer diagnosis, Prince William “has responded” to his estranged brother’s message of support.
The well-wishes that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent after Kate made her video announcement on Friday were apparently answered with a text message from the Prince of Wales, who hasn’t spoken to Prince Harry in many months.
It wasn’t a particularly cordial conversation, though, according to the British newspaper The Mirror, with William reportedly choosing not to use a “warm, informal” tone.

Tom Quinn, a royal author, told the publication that although Harry and Meghan have communicated with William, their private message to him was merely one of sympathy, devoid of any recommendation that the brothers should put their differences behind them or that Harry should return to the UK as soon as possible.
“There are simply too many animosities for that. William, who is still offended by everything Harry said in the past, has reacted, but it is clearly a palace-planned reaction and not at all what you would expect from a brother to brother.
“It resembles the kind of exchange you would have between two cautious diplomats.”
Despite their disagreement with the Waleses, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex swiftly issued a statement expressing their support after Kate’s announcement.
“We wish Kate and the family health and healing, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace,” it said.
Over the weekend, rumors circulated that Harry and Meghan had not been informed of the situation prior to the broadcast and had only learned about it along with the rest of the world.
It coincides with rumors that Harry is eager to make amends with his family, especially in view of his father’s illness.
This may be strengthened by Harry’s intention to attend a service at St. Paul’s Cathedral in May to commemorate the tenth anniversary of his Invictus Games, according to the UK newspaper The Telegraph, though this has not yet been formally confirmed.

However, the newspaper added that William is probably going to reject his attempts to patch things up.
The “Harry problem” is not even near the top of their list of priorities, according to sources close to the Wales, who spoke with the Telegraph about their concerns.
With faith in Harry and his spouse, who have frequently shared details of their complaints with William and Kate in public, they continued, saying that the Prince of Wales is now completely focused on safeguarding his wife and keeping her safe from any further harm.
On Friday night, UK time, Kate, who has been the subject of intense conjecture in recent weeks, revealed her diagnosis to the world in a moving video.
As she recovered from surgery, she said in the video, “I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding.”
“Our entire family has had an extremely difficult couple of months, but I am extremely grateful to my wonderful medical team for their excellent care.”
Kate added that it had come as a “huge shock” to learn that she had cancer following her January abdominal surgery.

Kate insisted she was getting “stronger every day” in spite of the heartbreaking diagnosis.
“I am well and getting stronger every day by concentrating on the things that will support my physical, mental, and spiritual healing,” the woman declared.
William being by my side gives me a lot of consolation and assurance as well. As is the affection, encouragement, and kindness so many of you have shown. It is really important to both of us.
“As a family, we now require some time, space, and privacy while I finish my treatment, and we hope you will understand this.” I’ve always been deeply happy at work, and I look forward to returning when I can, but for the time being I have to concentrate on getting well.
