Princess Charlotte’s mother, Kate Middleton, shared new photos of the young royal on Monday, May 2nd, in honor of her seventh birthday – but did you notice the hidden detail?
The photos were taken this weekend in Norfolk by the Duchess of Cambridge and shared on the Cambridges’ official Instagram on Sunday. Charlotte is shown sitting in a bed of bluebells, cuddling Orla, the family’s cocker spaniel.
Prince William and Kate’s only daughter appeared to reveal a new milestone as she grinned at the camera – she has recently lost one of her front teeth.

The gap in her bottom teeth appears to have developed in the last few weeks, as it was not present when she attended Prince Philip’s thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey on March 29.
Charlotte wore a royal blue coat with a sweet Peter Pan collar layered over a pretty tartan smock dress from Il Porticciolo, which was on sale for £50, for the celebration, which she attended with her parents and older brother Prince George.
The young royal donned yet another low-cost ensemble for her latest photos. Charlotte wore a £19 white polka dot polo shirt from high street favourite Next, which she first wore for a Father’s Day appearance last year, to emulate her mother’s love of recycling clothes.

Charlotte’s top has a scalloped blue trim and slightly puffed shoulders, and Duchess Kate buys them in multi-packs for between £15 and £19 each. She wore it with a Ralph Lauren blue cable-knit jumper.
While Charlotte’s missing tooth went unnoticed by fans, many pointed out Charlotte’s resemblance to her father, the Duke of Cambridge. “She looks so much like William!!” one fan wrote, while another added, “William’s mini me.” “I usually think she looks like The Queen, but in this first one she looks like her father,” said a third.

Charlotte was born in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, at 08:34 on May 8, 2015, the same hospital where Kate gave birth to her two sons, Prince George and Prince Louis. Her given name was changed to Charlotte Elizabeth Diana a few days later, with her middle names honoring her paternal grandmother, Princess Diana, and her great-grandmother, the Queen.
