Princess Kate was forced to apologise after releasing an edited family photograph

Princess Kate reveals how she deals with negative comments amid photo backlash

This week, the Princess of Wales found herself in a sticky situation when she acknowledged that she had Photoshopped her Mother’s Day photo. Amid suspicions of manipulation, national picture agencies removed the new family photo from their databases.

Following her abdominal surgery in January, Catherine has been the subject of health-related conspiracies. She quickly apologised in a statement after she “experimented with editing”.

Questions have been raised during this time; some royal watchers have suggested that she should be left alone while she recovers, while others have demanded the release of the unedited version.

Princess Catherine is no stranger to the spotlight and is frequently discussed. She has previously shared her experiences handling any bad things that happen to her.

The question, “You have said your family are very close, does it hurt about what’s said or do you let it run off all your collective backs on the grounds that’s just what you have to live with,” was posed to Catherine by ITV News’s Tom Bradby during her post-engagement interview with Prince William in 2011.

“Once again, I believe, the people around home are very supportive to us and those are the people who really matter to us, our close friends and close family,” Catherine confidently replied.

“I think if they feel you are doing the right thing you can only be true to yourself and you sort of have to ignore a lot of what’s said, obviously take it on board, but you have to be yourself really and that’s how I have stuck by it really.”

Catherine went on, “It’s obviously nerve-wracking, because I don’t know the ropes really, William is obviously used to it, but I’m willing to learn quickly and work hard.” When asked if she was afraid of marrying into the royal family, Catherine said, “Yes, absolutely.”

“I truly hope I can make a difference, even in the slightest,” she continued. I’m excited to lend a hand however I can.”

Following their wedding at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, Prince William and Catherine are now proud parents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

“I wanted to apologise for any misunderstanding that may have arisen from the family photo we shared yesterday. I sincerely hope that Mother’s Day was enjoyed by all who participated. C.”

“Minor adjustments” were made by the Princess of Wales, according to royal sources, and Catherine and Prince William wanted to give a casual photo of the family for Mother’s Day.

“The Wales family spent Mother’s Day together and had a wonderful day,” said a source.
