The Queen is known to be a devoted great-grandmother to 12 royal children, but there is one royal baby whom she has yet to meet in person. All of that could change very soon, as the Queen is expected to meet baby Lilibet on a significant date this year.
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby daughter, was born in June 2021. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex honored their baby’s great-grandmother by naming her after the Queen’s childhood nickname, because Harry adores his grandmother. However, it is believed that the youngest member of the Sussex family has yet to meet the Queen, leaving many royal fans wondering when the long-awaited meeting will take place.

Several members of the Royal Family are expected to attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this summer.
This year, the Queen celebrates an unprecedented 70 years on the throne, and the country will commemorate the occasion with a four-day bank holiday weekend in June.
Trooping the Colour, the Queen’s annual birthday parade, will take place on Thursday, June 2, with members of the extended Royal Family gathering on the Buckingham Palace balcony to wave to the crowds of London.
Prince Harry and his family will most likely be invited to the festivities in June alongside the rest of the Royal Family as the Queen’s grandson, but it is unclear whether they will attend.

Prince Harry has filed a legal challenge in the High Court against the Home Office over security, and he has offered to pay for his own police protection while in the UK.
The Duke claims that his private security team in the United States lacks adequate international jurisdiction and access to UK intelligence information, both of which are required to keep his family safe.
“This claim is about the fact that the claimant does not feel safe when he is in the UK given the security arrangements applied to him in June 2021 and will continue to be applied to him,” Shaheed Fatima QC, for the Duke, said in his opening statement last month.

“It goes without saying that he wants to return to see his family and friends, as well as continue to support the charities that are so dear to his heart,” she added.
“Most importantly, this is and will always be his home.”
In March 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals, and the couple has since spoken out about some of their negative experiences in the spotlight.
Last year, during a television interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry and Meghan revealed some of their problems with members of the Royal Family to the world.

Harry has only returned to the UK on two occasions since leaving the UK for a new life in the United States two years ago, the first being Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021.

However, given the significance of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and Harry’s close relationship with his grandmother, the Sussexes may decide to visit the UK for the occasion, allowing the Queen to meet her new great-granddaughter Lilibet for the first time.
