Diana’s ex bodyguard says Prince Harry ‘forced to quit Royals’ and will live to regret it

A former Royal Family bodyguard has claimed that Prince Harry was ‘forced out’ of the family when he moved to the United States of America with wife Meghan Markle.

Ken Wharfe worked for Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, from 1987 to 1994, and was close to the late Princess during the disintegration of her marriage to Prince Charles.

Ken believes Harry will “live to regret” moving to the United States and choosing a “normal life” over the one he had as a member of the Royal family.

He hinted that the current bubble of projects and interview opportunities enjoyed by Harry and  Meghan could burst, leaving the couple stranded.

“Now trapped in La La Land, what happens when the Hollywood trappings run out?” he asked New Idea magazine.

He added, somewhat scathingly, “Will the palace welcome their Prince back?” – of course – with or without his wife.”

Ken speculates that Harry would not have chosen to leave the royal family when he relocated to the United States with his wife and young son, but was forced.

According to reports, Harry and Meghan were denied official royal titles when the Queen refused to grant them a hybrid arrangement.

“His options were limited, and there was the fear of losing his new bride… in my opinion, he chose to jump!” Ken says. And it’s a leap I believe he’ll regret.”

The Daily Mirror has reached out to Prince Harry’s spokesperson for comment.

Ken’s comments come as reports suggest Prince Harry only agreed to his explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey when the Royal Family told him he couldn’t remain part of the firm and that his son, Archie, would not become a Prince when Charles becomes King.
