Duchess Kate and Princess Anne make rare joint appearance at maternity units – best photos

Kate the Duchess of Cambridge has accompanied Princess Anne on a visit to women’s healthcare organizations, which is their first joint engagement.

Anne, patron of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), arrived at their joint headquarters in London in the same car as Kate, patron of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), to hear how they are working together to improve maternal health care.

Princess Anne has been the RCM’s patron for 20 years, and during that time she has visited hundreds of midwives across the UK.

Kate became a patron of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG) in 2018 and has made early childhood development, including during pregnancy, a major focus of her public work.

The royal women met with representatives from Tommy’s National Centre for Maternity Improvement and learned about digital tools that are being developed to help women who are pregnant at higher risk.

They’ll also meet members of the ABC collaboration to learn about the national approach to baby monitoring and safety during labor, as well as how women and clinical staff are contributing to its development.

Kate, 40, looked stunning in a delightful outfit consisting of a lovely cream belted blazer and a matching cream pencil skirt. The brunette royal wore her hair super straight and sleek and wore subtle, glowing makeup.

Anne wore a stunning green coat that she looked stunning in. She wore a matching scarf to keep the April chill at bay.

The Princess and the Duchess will participate in a roundtable discussion with experts and new mothers to learn about efforts to address inequalities in maternity care.
