Friday saw the Duchess of Cambridge traveling to Berkshire to pick up her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, from Lambrook, their new school.
Duchess Kate prepared for the emotional journey in her new home country by donning an all-black outfit and dark sunglasses. The couple likely reunited before the Duchess picked up the kids from school after Prince William’s recent return from Balmoral.
In an effort to keep life as normal as possible for their three young children by keeping them in school during this trying time, it is believed that Duchess Kate stayed at home in Windsor while Prince William traveled to Balmoral to be with his grandmother.
The three young royals have recently moved houses, started new schools, and experienced the loss of their adored great-grandmother. It has been a time of great upheaval for them.
The Cambridge family may need to relocate once more in the wake of the Queen’s tragic passing.
Beginning in September, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge relocated to Windsor, with the prospect of being nearer to the Queen reportedly playing a significant role in their decision.
Questions will undoubtedly be asked about whether the family will move back to London in light of the passing of the Queen and Prince William’s new, more important position as the heir apparent.
King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla’s choice of residence after Queen Elizabeth’s passing is still unknown, but it will significantly affect where Prince William and Duchess Kate spend their time.
Prince William and Kate are not likely to settle permanently in London any time soon. It would be upsetting for them to move again since their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, only started at their new school on Wednesday.
