Zara’s very special gesture to William and Harry was revealed during a documentary about the mother and daughter relationship.
According to Express.co.uk, Royal biographer Brian Hoey said in the Channel 5 documentary Zara and Anne: Like Mother, Like Daughter that Zara and the brothers have an extremely close relationship.
“Within the Royal Family, William and Harry are Zara’s closest cousins,” he claimed. “In 1997, they lost their mother at a relatively young age. Zara appeared to be getting closer to them.”
Brian then shared an insightful moment from the cousins’ past, in which Zara’s deep love for William and Harry was demonstrated as she supported them during this difficult time.
“Shortly after Diana’s death, the Prince of Wales decided that they should all go skiing.” Zara tried to cheer them both up by throwing snowballs and having a snowball fight,” he explained.
“She was a huge help, a huge help to those two, and I think William in particular has always had a huge affection for Zara.”
Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter echoed the royal biographer’s sentiments, believing that Zara’s “positive energy” helped during the more stressful moments.
“She was there to deflect attention away from them and relieve pressure,” she claimed. “They used to despise photocalls, but with Zara, everything is more fun because she’s so outgoing; she’s wonderful to be around because of her positive energy and zest for life.”
The Royal Family has taken many skiing trips over the years, and William and Harry spent much of their childhood skiing with Diana.
Zara’s comforting presence as the brothers mourned their mother’s death is a touching example of the cousins’ close bond, which is said to have lasted to this day.
Zara was named the future king’s godmother when Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their first child, Prince George, in 2013. Zara gave birth to her and Mike Tindall’s third child, a little boy named Lucas Philip Tindall, earlier this year. She’ll most likely be excited to introduce her godson to Lucas in the future.
Zara sounds like a really cool lady. It’s wonderful that she was there to offer support to Harry and William at such a difficult time in their lives…that’s exactly how family members are supposed to behave towards each other. Despite the evil that envious, devil-hearted females have done to me, I know that not all females despise me. Some of them can see what I have to offer and the value I could be to them as a friend, opposed to being threatened by it. I’m extending my offer of friendship to Zara, just like I already have to Kate and Dave’s sister, Sarah. I look forward to meeting everyone.

To add onto my last post….I’m also extending an offer of friendship to Sophie, Ann, Camilla, Beatrice, and Eugenie. I think that we’d get along just fine. I hope that they can see my value as a friend and aren’t threatened by what I bring to the table. I’m more than willing to share what I know and/or let them benefit from what I know/create in the kitchen. As far as Her Majesty, the Queen, goes…I’d love to earn her friendship and acceptance, as she is not only the matriarch of the family but Monarch. So, having her approval is very important to me.
