The Duchess of Sussex's engagement ring includes very sentimental diamonds from Prince Harry

Meghan Markle’s secret engagement ring ‘tweak’ is highly unlikely

Has the engagement ring on the Duchess of Sussex been altered once more? Many of her fans are wondering that in light of her most recent Instagram picture featuring friends.

Meghan, who was supporting her friend Kelly Zajfen’s charity, Alliance of Moms, by wearing skinny jeans and a ‘Love like a Mother’ T-shirt, sat cross-legged on the grass, laughing and leaning in with Kelly and her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

The former actress accessorized her casual ensemble with her signature pieces, a trio of diamond engagement ring and a Clogau gold wedding ring from Prince Harry. She layered chunky gold bangles up her arm.

“Is it just me or has #MeghanMarkle’s engagement ring doubled in size?” asked a fan of the former. and another concurred, saying: “I’ve been saying she removed her wedding ring in order to gradually change the diamond’s size. It was too small for her.”

A third, on the other hand, dismissed the rumors and defended the Duchess on social media. “I don’t think so. Meghan is not the kind of person who would ever bring undue attention to herself, in my opinion,” they wrote.

Given how much the couple values the original diamond, it seems improbable that Meghan would decide to replace it with a bigger one in her ring. During a picnic at their Kensington residence in 2017, Prince Harry proposed to his fiancée. He created a personalized ring for her, utilizing three extremely sentimental diamonds: the center stone was a cushion-cut stone from Botswana, the location of their first vacation together, and the two side stones came from his late mother Princess Diana’s private collection.

Meghan had previously stated: “It’s incredibly special to be able to have this, which sort of links where [Harry comes] from and Botswana, which is important to us, it’s perfect.”

Maxwell Stone, Steven Stone’s character, speculated about the reasons behind Meghan’s apparent transformation and concluded, “It’s almost impossible to discern any changes from the available photo.” “There are multiple plausible reasons why the central stone appears marginally larger in the updated image,” he continued. Meghan hasn’t been wearing her ring as much as she used to, so it might just be a trick of the light or that it stands out more when she does.”

Meghan would be making the second alteration to the original ring in seven years if she decides to upgrade the diamond. In their engagement interview, Harry claimed that Meghan’s favorite band was the gold one on which the original diamonds were set.

The Duke of Sussex, however, upgraded the ring in 2019 to match a new personalised eternity band, displaying his considerate side.

According to Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s royal biography, Finding Freedom, “on May 19, 2019, Harry also surprised his wife of one year with the gift of a ring that he had created with jeweller-to-the-stars Lorraine Schwartz, a favorite of Meghan’s.”

“The conflict-free diamond eternity band paid homage to the family of three with Meghan’s, Archie’s and Harry’s birthstones (peridot, emerald, and sapphire, respectively) on the underside of the ring.”

The jeweler continued, “‘He’s the cutest person ever,'” the writers claim. So thoughtful and romantic. (So much so that Harry also had the brilliant idea to have Lorraine reset Meghan’s engagement ring with a fresh band made of diamonds.)”

It is believed that Harry and Meghan would like to finish their small family homage by adding the toddler’s birthstone to the eternity ring since the birth of their daughter Princess Lilibet.

In their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, Harry revealed more information about their romance, including a detailed account of how they got proposed to. There was much more to the charming tale than what they initially told the media—that they were roasting a chicken in Nottingham Cottage, their house—when he proposed.

“Earlier, I had intended to [propose]. My grandmother’s permission was required, so I was unable to do it outside of the United Kingdom. While she was roasting a chicken, I did open a bottle of champagne, and that kind of gave the game away,” Harry started.

“‘You never drink champagne, what’s the occasion?'” was her reaction. ‘I don’t know, I just had it like, lying around, whatever,’ I replied. Meghan giggled as Harry made a joke, saying, “It was a magnum!”

Harry got down on one knee next to Meghan’s pet dog Guy on a picnic blanket he had covertly set up “in the little walled garden, overlooked by the staff flats” with electric candles surrounding it after telling Meghan to wait inside.

Just over three years after going on their first date at Soho House, they were married in May 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
