To commemorate their nephew Archie’s third birthday on Friday, Prince William and Kate shared a touching photo of him. A throwback official portrait of members of the royal family at Archie’s christening in 2019 was posted on William and Kate’s Instagram and Twitter accounts.
The caption read, “Wishing Archie a very happy 3rd Birthday today.”

Parents with pride The photo featured Prince Harry and Meghan, with the Duchess of Sussex posing with her two-month-old on her lap. William and Kate, Prince Charles and Camilla, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, and Princess Diana’s sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes, stood alongside them.

After the intimate ceremony, which was attended by fewer than 25 guests and held in the Private Chapel, also at Windsor Castle, Chris Allerton took the official portrait in the Green Drawing Room.
Archie’s birthday was celebrated with a flurry of birthday messages on the Cambridges’ social media accounts.

On his third birthday, the Queen also paid tribute to her great-grandson by sharing a sweet throwback photo from their first meeting. Her Majesty was seen cooing over Archie in a photo posted to the royal family’s Twitter account.
The caption read, “Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 3rd Birthday!” The personal photograph was also shared on Twitter by Prince Charles and Camilla.

The Portland Hospital in London welcomed Harry and Meghan’s firstborn on May 6, 2019. The royal child, who has a baby sister named Lilibet, is the Queen’s eighth great-grandchild and is seventh in line to the throne of the United Kingdom.
Meghan admitted during the Invictus Games in the Netherlands last month that she and Harry debated whether to name their firstborn Archie or Harrison, which they eventually settled on for his middle name.
