After the closing ceremony of the Olympics in Paris, the Prince and Princess of Wales paid their respects to the Great Britain team.
Prince William and Princess Catherine recorded a heartfelt message for the team, who are taking home an amazing 65 medals, and shared it on their official Instagram account.
“Congrats, @teamgb! What an amazing journey! Every athlete exuded tremendous heart, passion, and dedication,” the caption said. We are all very proud of you! Cheers to commemorating each victory at @paris2024 and anticipating more from @paralympicsgb_official in the coming summer months.”

The royal couple seemed to film their message at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, as they participated in a video montage with other celebrities. Dame Kelly Holmes, Mark Chapman, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Rebecca Adlington, Gabby Logan, Sir Chris Hoy, Colin Jackson, Emma Willis, Greg James, Andrew Cotter, Michael Johnson, and Clare Balding were among the other participants in the video.
Catherine grinned and said, “Congratulations to Team GB,” to the camera. “Congrats on all that you’ve accomplished. We’ve all found inspiration in you,” William continued.
In the video, Princess Catherine, who last appeared in public at Wimbledon in July for the Men’s Singles Final, was dressed in a white and navy striped T-shirt. Her chestnut locks were styled sleekly and straight.

Regarding Prince William, the 42-year-old donned a Team GB polo with pride. Fans also noted in the comments that he was sporting a completely new appearance and had begun growing a beard.
Not just William and Catherine, but other royals have shown support for Team GB. On Sunday night, King Charles and Queen Camilla issued a statement. The text says: “My spouse and I would like to extend our sincere felicitations to the athletes and their entourages from Team GB and the entire Commonwealth, for their numerous remarkable triumphs during the Olympic Games in Paris.
“Your accomplishments in a wide range of sports were forged by the priceless blend of innate talent, genuine grit, and years of hard work, enhanced these past few weeks by sportsmanship and teamwork in the greatest traditions of the Games.

“To those who did not win the biggest awards, know that you have not diminished the pride in your countries that you have brought about. We are grateful to France for organizing such a fantastic competition, and as we anticipate the Paralympics, all of you have been an inspiration.”
