Princess Kate’s ‘affectionate exchange’ with Prince William on palace balcony shows their ‘deep and romantic bond’

As the Princess of Wales returned to public life despite her cancer treatment to join the royal family at Trooping the Colour on Saturday, she was seen sharing a “affectionate glance” with the Prince of Wales, illustrating their “deep and romantic bond.”

While Prince William rode in the carriage procession, Catherine, 42, watched the celebration from the former office of the Duke of Wellington on Horse Guards Parade with her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The future Queen then rode back to Buckingham Palace in the carriage and joined her family on the balcony to watch the flypast.

Noor Hibbert, a celebrity mindset coach and expert in body language, told HELLO! magazine that Catherine prepared herself for public appearances by putting on a “professional ‘game face’ smile.”

She continues, “She knows she has to persevere in order to be there for her family, and her smile serves as a mask for whatever internal struggles she may be facing. She is concerned about being present, but at this point in her life, it makes sense that she might find that uncomfortable.”

Catherine stated in a private message that was made public on Friday that she was making “good progress” with her treatment, but she was also honest enough to admit that she still had “good days and bad days” and that even though she had been working from home, “I am not out of the woods yet.”

On those bad days you feel weak and tired and you have to give in to your body resting,” the Princess added in part. “However, you want to take full advantage of feeling well on your good days when you feel stronger.”

“Incredible strength”

Noor provides an analysis of Catherine’s balcony appearance, telling HELLO!, “You can see a complete shift in her demeanor once she’s on the balcony with her husband, father-in-law, and children.”

As William looks directly into Kate’s eyes during their conversation on the balcony, you can see how her smile changes, becoming noticeably wider. His loving gaze conveys his concern for his spouse, and their passionate conversation highlights their intensely romantic relationship.”

Photographers caught some tender moments and adoring looks between William and Catherine, who celebrated their 13th anniversary of marriage in April.

Noor goes on, “Kate showed her amazing strength and ability to show up, with zero evidence of self-pity, as they stood there united as a family. She exhibits with grace and stoicism, which is what it means to be a proud member of the royal family.”

Even though the Princess and the King have previously stood beside each other at Trooping the Colour, this year’s placement seemed especially noteworthy because they are both undergoing cancer treatment.

Noor tells HELLO! “Kate standing next to the King was no accident. With Kate on his right and his Queen on his left, he was surrounded by his family and exuded pride.

It appears that he values and respects Kate. As seen in the photos, they frequently had animated conversations and giggles. Their shared experience with cancer has undoubtedly strengthened their bond, as evidenced by their genuine eye contact.”

A spokesman for Buckingham Palace revealed that the King was “delighted” that Catherine could accompany them prior to her appearance at Trooping the Colour.
