Meghan Markle poses with baby daughter Lili at her first birthday party

The Duchess of Sussex was photographed with her baby daughter Lili at her Windsor home for her first birthday celebration. Photographer Misan Harriman, a close friend of Prince Harry and Meghan’s, shared the black-and-white group photo on Instagram, which also included his wife and daughters.

Meghan, 40, exuded joy as she posed side-on at the celebration on Saturday, holding her daughter in her arms. In slacks and a light sweater, she looked effortlessly stylish.

The new photograph follows Harry and Meghan’s release of an official photo of their daughter, who is once again enjoying her birthday celebrations at Frogmore Cottage.

Lili, as she is affectionately known by her friends and family, looked adorable in a baby blue dress and a white bow in her hair. In another photo taken by Misan, she was seen smiling and laughing at the camera.

A small group of people were invited to the private bash in Windsor, where it appears that guests enjoyed a garden picnic and the kids were given face painting.

Claire Ptak of Violet Bakery in East London, who made Harry and Meghan’s wedding cake in 2018, also made a special treat for Lili: a beautiful pink frosted cake topped with fresh peonies.

Harry and Meghan said in a statement that they “remain incredibly touched by the countless birthday wishes for their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, and were amazed to learn that people all over the world donated over $100,000 to the World Central Kitchen (WCK) in her honor.”

After a brief visit to the UK for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend, the couple has returned to the United States with their daughter and son Archie, three. On Sunday afternoon, the royal family arrived in California while the royal family in London was attending the Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
