Forget it if you thought the slender jeans trend would never return. With her weekend appearances in Studio City, California, Meghan Markle single-handedly revived interest in slim jeans.
On Thursday night, the 42-year-old Duchess of Sussex went to a dinner party hosted by Terry Wood, executive vice president of Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions. Why Meghan was having dinner with the former Netflix enthusiast—who was hired by Oprah in 2018—is unknown.
Meghan donned a ‘Mini Toujours Sweater’ from La Linge and dark skinny jeans from Anine Bing, adhering to her usual sartorial synergy of preppy dressing and muted tones.
The Duchess added “Metallic Grey Leather CC Cap Toe Ballet Flats” from Chanel to her ensemble, making a subtle nod to the current balletcore aesthetic while keeping her look on point. As if wearing skinny jeans wasn’t enough of a throwback to the 2010s.

The brunette beauty with raven hair wore her flowing locks tucked into her sweater with ease. She accessorized her casual evening ensemble with a fresh makeup look. She was wearing a moody gray Goyard “Bellechasse Biaude PM Bag,” which is enormous.
Meghan has long been dubbed the “queen of casual” by fans of royal fashion, and her elegant gray outfit was no different.
Fans flocked to her off-duty Instagram account, @royalfashionpolice, to share their thoughts, with one writing: “Perfect.” incredibly stylish. Love the flats and jeans together. When casual and elegant collide in a way that is unbreakable.”
