The Sussexes reside in Montecito, Santa Barbara

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s family celebration with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will undoubtedly be spending the holidays with their loved ones, including their kids, Princess Lilibet, age three, and Prince Archie, age five, just like millions of other families do across the United States.

Living in Montecito, Santa Barbara, Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, took in the Fourth of July parade in their hometown last year.

Harry was holding his daughter Lilibet, who was adorable in a blue dress with paisley print, and the four of them were watching the parade of classic cars and floats from neighborhood organizations with the locals.

The Sussexes have traveled for the holidays in the past, despite the fact that they have previously celebrated America’s Independence Day at home.

Along with Heather Dorak, the Duchess’s longtime friend, Harry and Meghan celebrated the Fourth of July in the Wyoming valley of Jackson Hole in 2022.

After resigning from their royal responsibilities in 2020, the couple has been living the new American lifestyle in California.

Independence Day in London

In his memoir Spare, which was published in January 2023, Harry wrote that he and Meghan went on one of their first dates on July 4th, 2016.

The former Suits star met the Prince again at Soho House in London after supporting her friend Serena Williams on Centre Court at Wimbledon earlier in the day.

Prince Harry recalled: “I was waiting there already this time. Grinning. I’m pleased with myself. [Meghan] entered, clad in a charming blue sundress featuring white pinstripes. She was glowing. I got up and declared, “I have gifts.” A box that is pink. I extended it forward. She gave it a shake. “What is this?” “Please don’t shake it!” We both chuckled.

Only a few weeks after she wed Harry, Meghan observed the US holiday in 2018 as a member of the royal family.

The day after the Fourth of July, Meghan wore a yellow dress by American designer Brandon Maxwell as a tribute to her native country at the Commonwealth Youth Challenge reception at Kensington Palace.

Meghan and her college friends Genevieve Hillis and Lindsay Roth spent the US holiday at Wimbledon in 2019. Two days before Archie’s christening in Windsor, they went on a fun outing.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s most recent significant trip was a three-day tour of Nigeria in May, during which time Harry’s Invictus Games took center stage.

While Harry is scheduled to receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service at the 2024 ESPYs for his work with the Invictus Games on July 11, Meghan has been hinting at the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

In a heartfelt video for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, the Duke also discussed the effects of grief on kids with Nikki Scott, the founder of the organization.
