Since assuming the titles of The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, The Prince and Princess of Wales made their first ever joint official trip to Cornwall.
When the couple arrived in Falmouth, they were greeted warmly. Later, Catherine delighted other parents by joining in on the Hokey Cokey.

The Wales family has special memories of Cornwall because they recently took their kids on family vacations to Tresco on the breathtaking Isles of Scilly.
The day’s highlights also included Catherine’s heartwarming reunion with a former teacher. Below are all of the best pictures from their outing.

The Duke and Duchess will learn about Cornwall’s maritime history before visiting a neighborhood community center that goes above and beyond to provide opportunities for people while fostering a supportive and cohesive community, according to Kensington Palace ahead of their visit.

Following Queen Elizabeth’s demise in September 2022, William and Catherine assumed the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.
The couple was greeted by large crowds, and the Princess was given a lovely bouquet of flowers.
William appeared to have enjoyed his conversation with a local.

For her visit to Falmouth, Catherine wore a high-necked burgundy dress over a belted brown coat.
William and Catherine’s first stop is the National Maritime Museum in Cornwall, where they will meet locals engaged in the restoration of the Kiwi, a fourteen-foot sailing dinghy that the late Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh received as a wedding gift from the Royal New Zealand Navy.

Located in Discovery Quay, the National Maritime Museum of Cornwall is commemorating its 20th anniversary this year after opening in 2003.
Catherine participated in a model boat race with kids at the museum. It comes after the Princess, who recently met Captain Preet Chandi, who successfully completed a solo expedition across Antarctica, displayed her strength during a tyre pulling exercise.

The couple was shown a dinghy called Kiwi that the Royal New Zealand Navy had given to the Queen and Phil as a wedding gift.

And given the chance to assist with boat restoration in the museum’s workshop.

When Catherine met up with a former teacher in Falmouth, it was a very happy occasion.
Jim Embury, who taught the Princess at St. Andrew’s prep school in Pangbourne, Berkshire, surprised her by running into him.

She sobbed, “Oh my goodness,” and hugged Mr. Embury, who was then a museum volunteer.
Catherine also said “I am aware of you. Everything in the classroom comes to mind. Wow. What a small world that is. All the things you probably taught me, I’m trying to pass on to my daughter.”
They even hugged each other tightly. After the meeting, Mr. Embury said that during the middle of the 1990s, he had taught Catherine history.

When asked by journalists how she was doing in school, he responded: “Fantastic, I have to say. She was an excellent student and participant in the class. 25 years ago, that was.”
Both members of the couple had a sweet exchange with a young girl in the crowd.

Even the young child reached out to whack William in the nose!

William and Catherine visited The Dracaena Centre for their second engagement of the day to learn more about the many different types of support and services the organization offers to local residents as part of its mission to create a society that is healthy, happy, and supportive of one another.

The couple spent time listening to local mothers and their young children at a session, learning how The Dracaena Centre has helped them as parents and supported their kids’ development through play and creativity.
During the group exercise, the Princess even joined in with the Hokey Pokey!
