The Princess of Wales is recovering from health setbacks, and Kensington Palace has posted thank you notes to the public who sent their best wishes.
The postcard had the following brief message on it, written on the letterhead of the palace: “We appreciate your well wishes for Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales. Your kind gesture is greatly appreciated.

Against convention, the note was blank on one side and did not have a photo to go with it.
On special occasions, such as when they receive correspondence marking their birthdays, their children’s birthdays, their wedding anniversary, and national holidays like Christmas, the palace typically sends out thank-you cards on behalf of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Josh Skinner, a fashion and portrait photographer, captured the family photo that William and Catherine sent earlier this year as a way of thanking fans for their holiday greetings.
The Waleses looked sharp in the striking black-and-white photo, dressed in white shirts and jeans.

“Thank you for your thoughtful Christmas message to The Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis,” the card’s message stated.
“Their Royal Highnesses are very grateful and send you their best wishes for a very Happy New Year.”
The royal family has had a challenging start to the year, especially the Waleses. Princess Catherine had scheduled surgery on her abdomen in January. Her condition was initially believed to be non-cancerous, but additional testing revealed cancer.
Though she had originally planned to make a comeback for Easter, the 42-year-old Princess is currently receiving preventative chemotherapy and is not expected to return to public duties anytime soon.
King Charles, her father-in-law, is battling an unidentified type of cancer and underwent surgery in January to treat his enlarged prostate.
