1.London’s party scene may not strike you as a particularly regal hangout, but many members of the royal family have been known to let their hair down and dance until the early hours of the morning. In fact, under the strobe lights of some of London’s most exclusive nightclubs, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and even the Queen herself have been spotted.
2.Mahiki
An exclusive haunt unlike any other can be found directly across from the opulent Ritz Hotel, tucked beneath Mayfair’s Dover Street. This underground tiki nightclub is known for its celebrity guests, VIP guest lists, and infamous sharing cocktails served in giant treasure chests.
Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Princess Eugenie have all been seen partying until the early hours of the morning at this posh London venue, which was previously managed by Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank.
There are even rumors that the club once had a secret tunnel connecting directly to Kensington Palace, allowing royal visitors to flee the paparazzi and royal fans quickly.
3.Boujis
Before it closed in the early 2000s, this trendy London club in South Kensington was extremely popular. It was known for spotting royals and celebrities, with a young Kate Middleton and Prince William frequenting it during their early years of dating.
4.The Bathing Palace
The Bath House, on London’s buzzing Liverpool Street, was one of Prince Harry’s favorite dance venues in the city. The Duke of Sussex “was a perfect gentleman – the ideal guest,” according to the club’s owner Tava O’Halloran, according to The Sun.
“He had drinks, ate dinner, tipped the staff well, bought the staff tequila shots, and had a great time,” Tiva told The Sun. “The club was packed, they bounced around in the crowd for a while, and then they vanished.”
“The [royals] were like dream customers; they were super friendly, super into it, and they loved the atmosphere and the club.”
5.Raffles
This celebrity-favorite nightclub in Sloane Square rose to prominence after a regular appearance on E4’s Made in Chelsea. Duchess Kate paid a visit to the famous haunt in 2008, just two years before she married Prince William.
When William returned from his secondment with HMS Iron Duke in the Caribbean, the two partied until the early hours of the morning. The couple left at 3:45 a.m., according to the Daily Telegraph!
6.Annabel’s
Annabel’s nightclub in Berkley Square, Mayfair, was a hotspot for A-listers and royals during its heyday in the 1970s. Princess Diana, Liz Hurley, and Frank Sinatra were all fans of this posh London hangout, which was known for its heady glamour, sophistication, and air of exclusivity.
It is also famous for being the only nightclub ever visited by the Queen, who is said to have drank a gin martini at a party there in 2003.
Hollywood’s A-listers, including Kate Moss and Lady Gaga, still frequent the prestigious Berkley Square hangout.
7.Kitts
In her early 20s, the Duchess of Cambridge was frequently seen at Kitts, and she even chose to celebrate her 26th birthday there in 2008. Pippa Middleton, her younger sister, joined her in wearing double-breasted coat jackets and her long brunette locks in bouncy curls.
