For the first time since her husband Prince Harry’s hurried trip to the UK to see his father King Charles, the Duchess of Sussex has been spotted.
In recently surfaced photos that MailOnline was able to obtain, Meghan was spotted driving her Range Rover on a low-key excursion close to the couple’s Montecito residence.
The former Suits actress drove through her neighborhood on Wednesday, looking very happy and at ease with an oversized pair of sunglasses perched on her nose.
In the meantime, less than 24 hours after Buckingham Palace announced King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, the Duke of Sussex flew into the UK from California.
Before the King left by helicopter for Sandringham, Prince Harry, 39, was seen arriving at Clarence House in London and having a meeting with his father that lasted for about 45 minutes. After that, the Duke went back to Los Angeles, a few days before his trip to Canada the following week.
The couple’s young children, Prince Archie, age four, and Princess Lilibet, age two, had stayed behind with Meghan, 42. The Sussexes will also visit Canada on February 14 and 16 to take part in the One Year to Go celebrations of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.
HELLO! understands that Harry and Meghan will be attending the Participating Nations Winter Training Camp, which offers the International Invictus Community—including team managers, coaches, and competitors—a chance to experience winter adaptive sports in advance of the Games in 2019. The camp will take place over three days in Vancouver and Whistler.
In other news, on Wednesday night, Harry’s brother, the Prince of Wales, revealed the King’s cancer diagnosis for the first time and thanked everyone for their “kind messages of support”.
In addition to praising those who sent their best wishes for the Princess of Wales’ recovery from her scheduled abdominal surgery, Prince William acknowledged them in his remarks at a fundraising gala dinner. The speaker said to the guests, “It means a great deal to us all.”
“I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you, also, for the kind messages of support that you have sent my father and Catherine, especially in the last few days,” the Prince said. It is very important to all of us.
“It’s fair to say the past few weeks have had a rather medical focus, so I thought I’d come to an air ambulance function to get away from it all.”
