We should congratulate the Princess of Wales! Catherine’s charming depiction of Queen Camilla has been awarded a prestigious award.
The stunning image was captured in 2022 while the Queen was relaxing in the gardens of Ray Mill House in Lacock, Wiltshire. After being featured on the front cover of a special royal edition of Country Life, Catherine’s gorgeous photo was named cover of the year at the PPA Awards.
As the magazine’s guest editor and to commemorate both her 75th birthday and the publication’s 125th anniversary, Camilla appeared on the cover of Country Life.
In the image, a beaming Queen Camilla is seen holding a trug full of pelargoniums while sitting on a bench in the grounds of her flourishing garden. Camilla wore a pretty blue and white floral dress for the special photo shoot, which she paired with a powder blue cardigan.
The chief editor of Country Life magazine at the time, Mark Hedges, stated at the time: “We are delighted to have the Duchess of Cambridge, a royal photographer, capture our guest editor so beautifully.

We understand that this is the Duchess of Cambridge’s first official portrait of the Duchess of Cornwall for a publication, and we are honored to be the first to publish this lovely image.
“We would be thrilled to offer the Duchess of Cambridge another commission! The photographs are superb!”
The then-Duchess of Cambridge took her formal portrait for the first time.
The PPA award judges stated that “this cover was crucial in setting the tone and becoming the centrepiece for what became the fastest-selling issue in Country Life’s history.”

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are frequently featured in tender photos taken by Princess Catherine, who is an enthusiastic amateur photographer.
Catherine’s interest in photography, according to curator Claudia Acott Williams, was first sparked by her paternal grandfather, Peter Middleton.
When the mother-of-three shared a precious photo of her daughter, Princess Charlotte, to celebrate her eighth birthday in May, it garnered a heartwarming response from her fans.

Princess Catherine took the breathtaking photo in Windsor’s grounds. Princess Charlotte is pictured in the endearing image sitting in a white wicker chair and beaming brightly.
In the photo, the young royal was wearing a white summer dress that was adorned with tiny bouquets of blue and pink flowers. She flashed a sweet smile at her adoring mother while flipping her long hair to one side.
